Ultra Energy was formed in 2002 and Kitty Hawk was formed in 2004. These are new companies relatively speaking but rest assured we have over 400 years combined expertise and knowledge finding oil and gas in the rich basins of South Louisiana.
2004 was a pivotal time for Kitty Hawk. Newly formed we were offered the opportunity to provide geological and geophysical services for a medium sized independent exploration company in Houston. We generated prospects for them and several were drilled successfully at a completed well cost (CWC) of $28MM. Near the end of our contract a decision was made to monetize producing assets. Included in a $300MM asset sale $61MM in gross profit was attributable to our wells resulting in a ROI of 2.2: 1 in just two years. We called it the “2+2 method” for success.
Armed with their success the company decided to move their exploration efforts offshore and hire in-house explorationists more familiar with those basins. We did not lay fallow but continued to generate prospects and made successful wells by selling one-off deals. It’s the “all your eggs in one basket method” and does not survive the failure of a dry hole. Ultra wants to drill a number of prospects in order to mitigate risk and increase success. as we all know “there is no success like initial success.”
Enviable records are only had by hard work and great teams.
This is a big reason why Ultra selected Kitty Hawk. They have a strong inventory of prospects, good industry contacts and an enviable 68% success rate in finding economic oil deposits.
Dale Carnegie said “don’t be afraid to give your best to what are seemingly small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take care of themselves.”
our oil FINDERS ARE made up of successful Geologists AND GEOPHYSICISTS, ENGINEERS and Entrepreneurs. we draw on the best land professionals, surveyors, oil field contractors, cpa’s and financial institutions when looking after your money.
our core team combined has several centuries of industry experience and employs A proven program which fully incorporates all available technical data, land and unitization data, product marketing and sales, and management processes so we can mitigate risk and get our oil and gas to market quickly. it gives us the “edge”.
we are going to drill dry holes along with good ones, its enevitable but a good point to emphasize here is that if you don’t make MONEY, we don’t make money. i am personally contributing $100,000 to the program because i belive in Ultra Energy, U.S.A. and its team.
